Has your hair lost it's shine?

I found the PERFECT solution. I used to be a HUGE fan of Paul Mitchells Super Skinny (and I still am), but I found Kenra silkening Gloss, and fell in LOVE!! It smells like strawberries, which I LOVE. It's a light scent though so no worries on smelling like strawberry shortcake toys. :) It makes my hair soo shiny, and so glossy, and soft!
When applying, you only need about one pump, rub it into hands and start applying at hair at the nape of neck. This is to keep from applying too much to the top of your head and making it have a "greasy" look. Work through ends , and if you have flyaways just smooth over top...otherwise just work through hair. I always put this on after I'm done flat ironing or curling. I feel like it just adds that smooth look that I love.

If you are looking for something to put on damp hair, I'd go with Matrix Sleek Wonder Smoothing Oil. It smells great and you only need a little bit of it. It will also give the same effect, and we all know I love Matrix!! Who by the way won overall favorite overall company!! Woot!! Their new total results lines are amazing...something for everyone!

These are my two favorite smoothing products this week! :) Stay tuned this week for a volume video!! :)

Biolage Hydratherapie Review! Finally right?

here is my first review!! I am So excited to Review this product. There are a few different products within the Biolage line, and I've always been a Biolage Fan, so I wanted to give this a go.
I first shampooed with the shampoo which is paraben- free, dye- free, and is fine for color treated hair. It didn't lather as much as a "normal" shampoo but I just added more water and it was fine.It smells so good. It has a very clean smell. My hair already felt soft after the shampoo , but I followed with the Aqua Immersion Cream Masque. I left it on for about 5 minutes while I showered. This stuff was so awesome. I didn't even have any tangles or snarles to brush out of my hair afterwards. It had a really nice smell as well. I was able to use these sample packs for about a week, and still my hair had a nice shine, smell, and healthy look the entire time. I have little flyaways on the top of my head from pulling my hair back, but you never would've known during the time I used this.
I have always been a fan of Biolage, but I really liked this product. It is for dry hair, so it was great to use while it's cold and my hair is pretty dry. During the summer I would probably use something different, but I don't color my hair often at all- and when I do it's with demi. This is great for someone who does use color, gets highlights, is blonde, or just has a dry feeling to their hair. So overall:
Smell: A
Feel:A
Condition of the hair: A
I really don't have anything negative to say about this, and a little bit goes a VERY long way with this.
Stay tuned for some reviews on some new Rusk products later this week!! :)

Playing Catch Up

I haven't been doing a great job of keeping up on here ...I think I was just bummed about not making Spread The Love, so I felt like this blog wasn't going anywhere or since I wasn't doing anything crazy exciting I should just axe it....BUT here I am...This blog makes me feel better. Writing things out is almost therapeutic for me. I write like I talk, nothing special here...everything is just all me. With that being said I am playing catch up on this post. I'll add some pictures from New York, and from Christmas and New Years Eve. I have had quite an eventful few months. We went to Texas for Thanksgiving, I came home- went to New York, came back home, had Christmas, Went out for the first time in like 4 years for New Years with some WONDERFUL people. It's crazy that I'm making great friends here- I honestly didn't think I would.
We had a wonderful Christmas. It was my very first time to host a dinner for ANY holiday, and boy did I have my hands full. I think I did pretty well though. My dessert table rocked even though I did have to cut back like three desserts I really wanted to make. It was just too much. LOL.
So what's next for me? Well I had an interview at a Matrix salon ( I won't say which for my own privacy), and I have like a test of skills tomorrow. I'm hoping I get it. Sort of. I don't know if I'm ready to leave the comfort of home yet. I love being out and what not, but I"m getting kind of sad thinking about leaving the kids for 20-26 hours a week. I know it doesn't seem like much, but I don't have much more time left with them before they start school. I hope that this opens the doors for me that I want...I just can't see myself behind the chair in 10 years, I want to do much bigger things. With that being said- I do miss the classroom, and being in school- so I'm thinking about enrolling and getting some of my basics out of the way!

Okayyyy enough about me...

In the next few weeks I"m going to be posting some product reviews and maybe some hair tutorials b/c so many people have been asking for me to do them!! I get daily questions about all kinds of shampoos, so what better way to tell you an honest answer than testing them myself. I do have color in my hair, but I have healthy hair... it's not damaged, or porous, or any of that...so I guess I would say I have a neutral palette I'm working with here!!:) Alrighty here is my picture overload!!! :)
